Jason Deran
Jason Deran is a talented media composer, audio engineer, and producer based in Los Angeles. Growing up in Chicago, Jason honed his musical skills as a trumpet player before pursuing higher education in music. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University under the guidance of esteemed instructors Kenyatta Beasley and Kris Johnson. Following this, Jason earned a Master’s degree in Music for the Screen at Columbia College Chicago.

With a wealth of experience in recording and producing, Jason contributed to numerous projects in Chicago, such as The King of Mars, before relocating to Los Angeles to focus on the dynamic world of film and television music. In his current role as a score producer and coordinator, He has built an impressive portfolio of credits, including work on notable projects such as The Equalizer 3, May December, Flamin' Hot, Emancipation, Cassandro, and Ray Donovan.

In his current role, along with freelance work as an audio engineer and composer, Jason is dedicated to crafting immersive musical experiences. He thrives on collaboration and storytelling, creating compelling soundscapes and powerful grooves, and using sound to enhance the emotional depth of visual media.
